Sausage and Cabbage Soup

On a cold winter’s day, a cup of hot soup can warm your cockles. Conveniently, one of the items the caterers make that employees love here at the millyard is soup from scratch. On certain days, fan favorites are made available, and you can tell which those are from the long lines and empty tureens left in their wake. Today’s soup is sausage and cabbage, a bit spicy from the chorizo. The lighter, broth-based soups are the best for lunches, IMHO, since it’s not great to eat anything too heavy on the stomach before those afternoon meetings!
